Reading

Our reading group had to make some kind of poster for this book of a boy cleaning cars for other people and gets money from it and the poster was to act like we were that boy and try and persuade people to let "me" clean there cars for $35!

I drew a picture of a car in the middle of the paper and the title was PAY ME TO CLEAN YOUR CAR... and some other things to try and persuade my reader! What I learned from this was to explain the reader what Im trying to sale and why they should buy it!

I am not done with this poster but will be in the future!

  

Maths sheet

 Our maths group was doing a math sheet about continue and describe number patterns.

I counted how much dots I needed to do in the next steps and that helped me a lot and also I got 8/8 because I have not fished the whole math sheet.

What I could of did better was trying to finish the whole math sheet so I dont have to carry on the next time we have to do maths!

Reading

For this reading task last week my reading group had to be with the Teacher we had to do questions that the answers would be in the book we were reading and questions that the answers are not in the book and do questions as if I was talking to the main person in the story.

What I did good was in every question I did I tried to answer it myself.

What I could of did better was answering more questions on each ones we had to do!

Maths

My maths group had to do a math sheet that was about weight and length!

I got 10 out of 12 because I kept on reading the expansible and I used my learning from the past to try get the questions right!

What I could work on is getting a paper to work out the problems that I don't know and also I could do this type of maths for my homework to get better at it!

Reciprocal Reading

This story is about two friends that would jump of the bridge and splash water onto the people that would kayak, but one day Benny pushed his friend into the water next to a kid that was doing kayak! When his friend fell into the water it made the kayak fall upside down with the little boy under it! But the boy was not injured, and the mum of the boy looked angry! They both ran away, and Benny started crying as well as his friend went and hugged him!

I had to clarify what I did not under stand, and in the end of the story I did not understand one word!

Next time i could search up the words I do not know!

Maths

This image is my answers for the math sheet that our group got. It is about word problems involving capacity and mass.

I got 13 out of 16 because I used another book to work out the problems and to turn Litres to millimetres or the other way around and theirs more!

What was hard for me was trying to plus Litres with millimetres together, but in the end I got it right! But at the same time I got some wrong as well!

Reading

This image is a reading sheet of a little part of a article, poem and a story on 10 different questions if it is a Inform, Persuade and Entertain.

I got 10 out of 10 because I tried to find out the main facts that lead to either Inform,Persuade and Entertain.

My goal next time is to try and find another way that leads to the right answer, so if I had to ever do this again in 5 years I could have a lot of ways I can figure this reading task out!

Market day

On the 7/9/2017 our school put up a market day for different types of groups to sell food,games and more! This day was helpful because it teaches you to be independent while you sell your products like us students is starting our own business!

What went great with my group was that all our products sold out but not the raffles and we also did team work really well as well!! 

What did not go as plan was that we did not have as much space for everything we were selling on the table!

If I could change something about this day is getting a bigger table for products!

Reading Voices in the park

For Friday reading our teacher read this to our class, and this book was about people going to the park and walking there dogs, but we got to read each separate story from the charters sight! Then after we read the book we had 4 papers for 4 of the charters, what we needed to do was to write what we think of there personality like sad,happy or lazy!!

What I did not need help with was around 9 and 20 because I have to guess kinda how long or thick something is!

What I could do better or did better was cheeking the answers that I was not confident on!

What I did good was doing 2 different SRA cards in the same Spec, and when i thought I had an answer wrong I would go back to the answer and read it until Im liking the answer that I did!

What my goal is next time when i do SRA cards is to try and do 2 SRA cards but get all of them right!!

Prodigy

This maths game is called Prodigy! It helps you kinda learn how to do new maths skills.

I answered some  answers correctly by being focus and reading the hints! Some of the questions had letters that + numbers →> b+1.3 something like that! And I also turned level 57 for answering the questions right!

When I had to time’s table a letter with a number (z x 15.3) I did not really get what was going on!! And I would usually get it wrong!

To learn how to times and plus numbers with letters more so next time I could get it all right!

SRA Cards

This reading task is about a book, And I answered the first 6 questions about the book!

What was easy was answering number 6 which was what was similar between the American flag and the Dominican Republic flag!

What I could of done better or did was explain why I chose this answer so if my teacher cheeked it he/she would know why I chose that answer!

Next time I could put more depth into my work!

Maths Naming 3-dimensional (3D) shapes

This math sheet is about naming 3-dimensional 3D shapes

The part I found easy was naming the shapes in the first 6 questions because I remembered in the past I have learnt about a few of these shapes.

What I found hard was trying to describe a picture of a shape by saying how much faces,edges and vertices.

Reading SRA Cards

This is my reading post of my SRA cards answers, on this SRA card there is questions about the story and more, when you are done reading it! I only did the first 9 questions which was about the book, but the others were different!

What was easy for me was answering the first few questions because it was not as hard I guess?

When I did not know the answer I would go back to the story and skim and skam for the answer!

Over all this reading task was not as hard, but it does help with your reading!

 My reading group did a English skills 6 book, and I did unit 1 which is about Nouns.

On this unit we had to circle the nouns by 2 different words and underline nouns from a little story on the book and there is more but I did not get to do that yet!

What was easy for me was underlining the nouns because it was put into a story or a sentence so that was easy for me to do!

What was hard for me was trying to circle the nouns between 2 words because it was not put in a sentence but at the same time I put both of these words in a sentence to make it much easier for me to pick which word is the noun.

What I could work on is to try and find out a way to make it easier for me to reminder and to do to try and underline and circle the nouns much more easier!

Maths Post

These are my answers for a Parallel and Perpendicular maths sheet!

What i found easy with this math sheet was explaining what is Parallel and Perpendicular of a picture of an object on the math sheet!

What I found hard about this math sheet is to try and count the faces, edges and vertices of a 3D shape because it could be an odd shape and we can not see the whole shape like the back or the bottom of the shape!

What i could work on is to try and image the whole shape in my head so i can figure out what the shape looks like in its full shape so it is easier to answer the Faces, edges and vertices better!
